How often have you needed someone to collaborate with throughout your career but didn’t know where to start looking? The Erie Creative Network aims to connect creatives and artists in the area for quick and easy collaboration. Since my early days as a creative, I have always sought like-minded people to collaborate with. The biggest problem I would run into is that I never knew where to start looking. In a way, this benefited my growth as a creative, and I grew into more of a multi-disciplinary artist. If I needed a photographer for a design project, I would take on the challenge myself. If I needed a website developed, I would teach myself what I needed to know to launch a website for a family friend who couldn’t afford agency prices. Fortunately, I had base knowledge in photography and website development that I could build on from my college days. The big challenge for many of my colleagues is that they don’t have time to learn a new skill set or don’t have the desire to learn something they’ll only need a handful of times throughout their careers. This is where the Erie Creative Network comes in. The Erie Creative Network is a resource creatives can use to collaborate, connect, and grow their network professional connections here in Erie, Pennsylvania. Below you will find some of the things we are trying to accomplish with this project.
Interviews are a great way to learn more about how a creative thinks, what they specialize in, and how they got to the point they are today. Learning about someone’s genesis as an artist helps illustrate how they became the artist they are today. This information can help you recognize a creative you would be compatible with. These articles will not only be helpful for creatives. Still, they will also intrigue the site visitors who want to learn more about the creative community in Erie, PA.
Not only will creatives be able to showcase their work on their profile, but we also plan to write articles featuring anything newsworthy. So, whether it’s an art gallery opening or a new album release—we will try to cover all the big news. But, even if it’s not a significant release or exhibit, we are interested in exposing the artist’s work to the community.
Another bonus the Erie Creative Network plans to incorporate is guest posting on our blogs. Content is king—and if you want to publish an article about your work on the Erie Creative Network, you can submit it directly on this site. Our editors will review the content and upload it to the site shortly after receiving the article.
The creative network isn’t just limited to showcasing individuals; you can also use the platform for advertising your business or services. Creatives aren’t the only users visiting this site—there will be traffic from just about anyone interested in the creative scene in Erie. It could be used for agencies looking to collaborate or even to hire.
Lastly, to reiterate what was touched on earlier, this project’s most crucial aspect is connecting creatives. Collaboration is one of the primary keys to success. The goal is to create a platform where you can find other creatives to collaborate with on your projects, whether work-related or just for the love of art.
